Chicago

I need some help with this one, because I can’t understand the mind of a lefty progressive.

First the progressives ban guns in Chicago, so law-abiding citizens can’t defend themselves from the criminals that by definition do not obey the laws.

Then the same socialist turnaround and call for a fascist takeover of the city.

But that doesn't answer exactly what it is the protesters are upset about here. The good congressman Jared Polis is afraid of a "police state." Well, we have lawmaker asking for the National Guard to be the police for Chicago, Illinois — a literal army to defend the citizens. Yet no one says a word.

If they wanted a police state, believe me, they could get it. But they don't. Yet, somehow, we are supposed to believe this law will cause cops to start banging down doors? You know what stops a police state? The smallest government possible. That's what the Tea Parties are about: the smallest possible government. Progressive governments create the apparatus, just in case there's an emergency you'd hate to waste.

The news doesn't reflect common sense or what is actually going on.

Obama himself just passed a health care bill that forced people to buy health care and he pushed for harsh punishments for those who refused. So, in other words, the federal government will ask for verification of your health insurance, but the same government can't ask for your legal information?

Am I in "Alice in Wonderland"?
